Welcome to the Paul Smith Music web site. A variety of excellent quality live music is available tailored to the requirements for your special occasion. Specialists in providing wedding entertainment for ceremonies, wedding breakfasts and evening receptions. Based in the North of Hampshire, Paul Smith Music is ideally located to perform throughout the South of England. I have been a professional musician since the 80’s and besides the piano play a variety of woodwind to both solo and in many ensembles. P.R. Jazz a jazz quartet is among three jazz bands available and the Fabulous All Stars is a superb function band that delivers the very best in entertainment for superb value. Paul Smith also performs classical music to a concerto standard on the oboe, clarinet and saxophone. Suitable for many occasions including concerts, wedding ceremonies and any situation where an audience can appreciate quality music from the great composers. Music Lessons There are several pages offering advice for pupils and parents on this web site including the latest Associated Board exam results. Click on the Teaching link on the left to learn more. I teach woodwind at the City of London Freemen’s School in Ashtead and Yateley Manor. I manage and arrange music for the wind band at Yateley Manor and at CLFS run the junior wind band, senior wind band, jazz band, aural club, theory club and the new Improvisation club. The jazz band has had the honour of performing in the Lord Mayor’s Parade. Liquorice Stix is a clarinet group for all ages that meet once a week during school term on a Saturday morning. It is a fun environment to play the clarinet and meet other players and is for all ages and abilities. Paul Smith arranges the music and manages the weekly sessions and more can be found on the Liquorice Stix page. Give it a go orchestra is a new venture inspired by the Liquorice Stix ensemble which will happen on the 30th June 2012. It is an opportunity for anyone who has played a musical instrument before to have a go at making music in an orchestral type environment.
